Stunning coffee table made of a beautiful beige marble base, and cantilevered oval glass top, designed by Team Form AG for Ronald Schmitt, Switzerland 1970s.
A striking design which has a floating and cantilevered effect due to the thick glass being clamped at one single edge, which offers a great stability. The beige marble foot also has an interesting design due to it being made at an angle. But due to the innovative design this coffee table is as solid as can be, due to usage of thick glass, a solid marble base and a metal clamp, which with their weight hold up very steady.
Team Form AG is known for designing icons like the COR Trio sofa, which also features clever details such as an anti slip fabric holding the backrests to the bases. Their ingenious designs are typical for the seventies, and in minimalistic designs, the details matter more than anything.
