1. General
These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, invoices, sales, deliveries and agreements made by Vintage Boutique Abcoude B.V. registered in the Netherlands.
By placing an order, the buyer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Any terms proposed by the buyer are expressly excluded unless agreed otherwise in writing.
2. Products & Condition
Vintage Boutique Abcoude specializes in vintage and collectible design furniture, lighting and objects.
All items are vintage or pre-owned unless stated otherwise. Signs of age, wear, patina, repairs and variations in color or material are considered part of the character and authenticity of the piece.
Products are sold in the condition as presented through photographs, descriptions and/or videos. Vintage Boutique Abcoude makes every effort to describe items accurately, however minor variations, imperfections and age-related characteristics may occur.
Dimensions are approximate.
3. Availability & Orders
All products are subject to availability.
An order is only binding once confirmed by Vintage Boutique Abcoude in writing and/or after payment has been received.
If payment is not received within the 7 days payment term after the invoice was sent, we assume you are no longer interested in the item and we will release the hold.
VBA reserves the right to cancel an order in case of pricing errors, unavailability, force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in EUR unless stated otherwise.
Prices are exclusive of shipping, import duties, local taxes, customs charges and import VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Full payment is required prior to shipment unless agreed otherwise in writing.
VBA reserves ownership of all goods until full payment has been received.
5. International Shipping, Import Duties & VAT
International buyers are solely responsible for any import duties, customs clearance fees, local taxes, storage fees and import VAT charged by the destination country.
These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping costs unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
If customs charges, duties, taxes or related costs are refused by the buyer or charged back to Vintage Boutique Abcoude by the carrier, customs authority or any third party, Vintage Boutique Abcoude reserves the right to recover these amounts in full from the buyer, including any administrative, legal, collection or transport-related costs incurred.
Failure to pay import charges does not cancel the purchase agreement.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Delivery times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
Vintage Boutique Abcoude is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs procedures, weather conditions or circumstances beyond its control.
Risk transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier or upon delivery to the buyer, depending on the agreed shipping arrangement.
The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the item can be delivered and moved into the final location.
Additional costs resulting from failed delivery attempts, storage, redelivery or special access requirements are the responsibility of the buyer.
7. Inspection Upon Deliver
The buyer must inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.
Any visible transport damage must be documented and reported to Vintage Boutique Abcoude within 48 hours of delivery, including clear photographs of the packaging and the item.
Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
8. Returns
Due to the unique and vintage nature of the collection, all sales are considered final.
Returns are only accepted if:
- the item arrives significantly not as described, or
- the item arrives with transport damage that was present upon delivery.
Returns based on personal preference, age-related characteristics, patina, comfort, color perception or normal vintage wear are not accepted.
Approved returns must be authorized in writing by Vintage Boutique Abcoude prior to shipment.
9. Restoration & Electrical Components
Vintage items may contain original electrical components, wiring or technical parts.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Vintage Boutique Abcoude does not guarantee compliance with electrical regulations in the buyer’s country and recommends inspection by a licensed professional prior to use.
Any restoration or modification performed after delivery voids any possible claim regarding the condition of the item.
10. CITES & Restricted Materials
Certain items may contain regulated materials, including protected wood species such as rosewood.
The buyer is responsible for verifying local import regulations and permit requirements prior to purchase.
VBA cannot guarantee issuance of import permits or customs clearance in the destination country.
11. Liability
Vintage Boutique Abcoude’s liability is limited to the invoice value of the purchased item.
Vintage Boutique Abcoude is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of profit, delays, storage costs or third-party expenses.
12. Governing Law
All agreements are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
